Culture is Life
Caleb (they/them) is a Meriam/Erub Kebi Le person from the Torres Strait Islands. As a full-time freelance Drag Artist based in Naarm, they work between many venues, festivals and events, including inter-state. They also work in many miscellaneous projects across the arts industries including theatre, music, sound production, DJing and film projects and are currently working toward developing and spotlighting First Nations drag artists in the scene to diversify the scene and share knowledge. With a background in creative producing, they worked as a Production Co-ordinator and Producer for ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, leading the young Ensemble and writer's programs from 2018-2022 before committing to freelance full-time. They have currently been working with the Motherless Collective, producing events and theatre productions, including Three Blak Ravers at YIRRAMBOI Festival (2025) and Eclipse at Rising (2024). Caleb's ultimate goal is to heal and uplift the community by sharing Blak and Queer joy. They were part of Culture Is Life's first Fullaship Cohort, in 2022.
