Shania White
Allied Health Assistant
Institute for Urban Indigenous Health
My name is Shania, and I am a proud First Nations Aboriginal woman with family connections to the Mbabaram people of the rainforest regions of the Atherton Tablelands and the Wadi Wadi people of Victoria. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, with the goal of becoming an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Alongside my studies, I work as an Allied Health Assistant within the disability services team at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health through an AFL SportsReady cadetship. In this role, I support the delivery of culturally safe therapy services for mob accessing the NDIS, working under the supervision and guidance of a range of specialist clinicians and following individualised therapy plans.
