James Rice holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science and worked as an exercise physiologist. After gaining experience in collegiate sports performance, James shifted his focus to mental health and suicide prevention in community sport. He now oversees the delivery and growth of Movember’s Ahead of the Game programs across Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory, and also serves as the AFL’s Mental Health First Aid training facilitator.

Join this session to learn about First Nations Ahead of the Game which was co-designed by the AFL Social and Emotional Wellbeing team and First Nations communities, adapting the original Movember Ahead of the Game program to better reflect the strengths, cultures, experiences and wellbeing priorities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
